Home - Band or collar heaters
COMIND® band or collar heaters have the ability to withstand high temperatures, as they have a high power. They are mainly used in the plastics industry (injectors, extruders, blowers) or for any pipe heating application. They have different types of tightening and terminals according to the customer's needs, in addition to the base material from which they are made, either mica or ceramic. The main difference between mica and ceramic, is that the ceramic heaters support a higher density of load per cm2 due to the manufacture made by interlocking ceramic blocks that incorporates the coiled micron. In addition, these ceramic blocks, composed of steatite, are the ones that especially allow them to withstand higher temperatures.
