Oven Resistor Bench

This heating element is fabricated from nickel-chrome coiled wire material. The coil may be passed through a high conductivity molded refractory material
inside each of the stainless channel trays unit forming the heater. Alternatively, the heaters can be manufactured with
traditional ceramic sleeves. The standard model are suitable for heat treatment temperatures up to 1000 ° C. Temperatures above this value can be reached by varying the composition of the casing/wound wire and heater design. Standard heaters are supplied for a range of voltages up to 240V.

Uses of Furnace Resistors

The range of heater bank elements has been designed to provide modular heating units of a robust design and suitable for connection to a mains or low voltage electrical supply. These heaters are portable and robust and especially for use in furnaces or for heat treatment of pressure vessel welds and sections or other large fabrications. 

Furnace Resistor Applications

Standard heaters should deliver a current of 55 amps and the unit heaters are designed for a range of voltages between 30 and 277 V. The highest rating allows the heaters to be connected in groups of three to suit three-phase supplies. The highest rating allows connection of the heaters in groups of three to accommodate three phase supplies.
Heaters can be mounted on brackets (as shown in the design below) for vessel heat treatments or directly to components that may be suitable.
Avoid contaminants (grease, paint, oil, etc.) on the metal surface.
